Nichia expands the LED portfolio with 1800K emission color, a true LED alternative to HPS
Tokushima, Japan – 20 November 2023: Nichia, the world's largest LED manufacturer and inventor of high-brightness blue and white LEDs, announces the addition of the mid-power 757 Series (Part Number: NF2W757H-V2F1, NF2W757GR-V4) to the portfolio of HPS color LEDs developed as a true LED alternative to high-pressure sodium lamps (“HPS”).
HPS color LEDs maintain the nostalgic atmosphere of the landscape with the same emission color of 1800K as HPS while enjoying the many advantages of LEDs, including greatly improved color rendering index, mercury-free, long lifetime, and instantaneous on/off. Through these key features, it has been highly acclaimed as an innovative and a unique product. Nichia has already launched NVSW219F-V2, NVSW519A-V1 as high-power packages along with Direct Mountable Chip. By adding the 757 Series of LEDs to the HPS color LEDs' portfolio, customer options can be expanded and thus accelerate the transition from HPS to LED and contributes to a realization of a mercury-free society and carbon neutrality.
